I am a freelance writer with 19 books and over 200 articles published. My focus has been children's books and technical education. My wife, Kathy, and I own a bookstore in Red Lodge, Montana.

Summer 2007 Appearances

I had a signing on Monday, April 16 for my Closed Captioning Handbook at the NAB conference in Las Vegas. I will also have books available after Kathy and I talk at the Montana Court Reporters Association conference in June.

My Who Pooped in the Park? signing schedule is available on the Who Pooped? Web site. As of April, the schedule is still coming together, but most of the Yellowstone signings are locked down. We hope to visit some of the other parks as well. Watch the appearances page for news.

Who Pooped in the Park?

My children's series has its own Web site, where you can keep up with the latest news. The series is a children's guide to animal tracks and scats, set in various national parks. The Yellowstone and Glacier editions of Who Pooped in the Park? are the best-selling books in their respective parks, and the series has approximately 100,000 books sold to date. The 14th in the series was released in February 2007.

The Closed Captioning Handbook

The Closed Captioning Handbook, is a 400-page comprehensive guide to captioning from Focal Press (an imprint of Elsevier). Signed copies are available at my bookstore, and you can also find it on Amazon.com or special order it from any bookstore. NCRA members can buy the book at a discount from the NCRA store.
