Andrew Saks Engineering Award

In 1997, Telecommunications for the Deaf, Inc. (TDI) awarded me their Andrew Saks Engineering Award for "outstanding contributions in improving visual accessibility to information via real-time captioning for deaf and hard of hearing Americans." It reflected my work in designing captioning systems and equipment as well as my work on national standards committees. By the way, that's not me in the picture, it's Andrew Saks (co-inventor of the TDD).
