Closed Captioning

I've been a television captioner for eleven years. I currently caption from my 55-acre ranch in rural Montana.   I have worked for nine years for Bay Area Captioning and VITAC, one of the largest captioning firms in the U.S., for whom I captioned news and sports, including KRON-TV in San Francisco. Before that, I owned Mission Peak Captioning, which captioned City Council, School Board, and Planning Commission meetings for Fremont, California. Stories about my captioning have appeared in Fortune Magazine, the Journal of Court Reporting, the San Jose Mercury News (front page!), the Valley Times, and other publications.
